Cookie policy

On our website we would like to explain what Cookies are, what they are for, their purpose and how you can configure or disable them.

What is a Cookie?

Cookies are small data files received by the terminal from the visited website and are used to record certain browsing interactions on a website by storing data that can be updated and retrieved. These files are stored on the user's computer and contain anonymous data that is not harmful to the system. They are used to remember the user's preferences, such as the selected language, login details or the personalisation page.

Cookies are safe, as they can only store the information that was placed there by the browser, which is information the user has entered into the browser or that is included in the page request. They cannot execute code and cannot be used to access your computer.

Types of Cookies

According to who manages them:

Own Cookies: those sent and managed by a device or domain belonging to the publisher of the website being visited.

Third-party Cookies: those sent and managed by a third party that is not the website's publisher, when they come from another server. For example, those used by social networks, or by external content such as Google Maps.

According to the purpose for which the data obtained from them is processed:

Technical Cookies: allow the user to browse a web page and use the different options or services that exist on it, such as controlling traffic, identifying the user's session, accessing restricted areas, remembering the items that make up an order, submitting a registration request or participation in an event, using security features during browsing, storing content for the broadcast of video or sound, or sharing content through social networks.

Personalisation Cookies: those that allow you to access the service with predefined characteristics based on a series of criteria, such as the language, the type of browser through which the service is accessed, the regional settings from which the service is accessed, etc.

Analysis Cookies: those that allow us to quantify the number of users and thus carry out the measurement and statistical analysis of how users use the services provided, and on that basis also apply design and speed improvements.

Behavioural advertising Cookies: those that store information on users' behaviour obtained through the continuous observation of their browsing habits, which makes it possible to develop a specific profile in order to show advertising based on it.

According to their expiry:

Session Cookies: temporary Cookies that remain in the browser's Cookie file until the web page is left. They are usually used to analyse traffic patterns on the web. In the long run, this makes it possible to provide a better experience to improve content and make it easier to use.

Permanent Cookies: stored on the terminal and read by the web page each time a new visit is made. Despite their name, a permanent Cookie has a set expiry date. The Cookie will stop working after that date, which can range from a few minutes to several years. They are generally used to facilitate the different services offered by websites.
